ATC Welcomes Robert Thomas to our Litigation Department   Leave a comment

Robert Thomas has joined our firm as an Associate in our Litigation Department.  He has represented clients in a wide array of commercial litigation and construction law matters in both state and federal courts, mediations, and arbitrations.  Prior to joining Andersen, Tate & Carr, he worked with the South Carolina law firm of Haynsworth, Sinkler, Boyd, P.A., in Greenville, South Carolina.

 Robert received his Juris Doctorate cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law.  While in law school, Robert worked with Priti Suri and Associates, a law firm based in New Delhi, India, with a focus on international commercial arbitration.  Robert also enjoyed a very successful moot court career, during which he was part of a team winning the best team and best brief awards at the Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Competition.  He also received the honor of best oralist in Georgia’s Talmadge competition, and at the National Moot Court Competition Southeast Regional.

 Robert attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate education, where he majored in both English Literature and Religion, and completed a minor in Spanish.  While an undergrad, Robert spent a summer teaching English to students of all ages at a secondary language institute in Trujillo, Peru.

 Robert was born and raised in Albany, Georgia.
