Congratulations to our own Janet Wilson Williams, RP, who has been named to serve on the 2011 Georgia Association of Paralegals Board as PCC Coordinator.

“PCC” is the Paralegal Core Competency exam that is being developed to ensure that paralegal programs are adequately preparing entry level paralegals to work in the legal field after they complete their programs.  Many who serve on GAP are Registered Paralegals, but PACE is an advanced paralegal exam for experienced paralegals and many cannot meet the stringent requirements required to sit for the PACE certification. Therefore, the PCC exam is being developed as another certification level that demonstrates core competencies for paralegals.
